TFE Hotels is continuing its expansion in Australia with four new Adina Apartment Hotels set to open in Sydney, Fremantle and Brisbane in the next three years as the group celebrates a stellar first year for its Adina Apartment Hotel, Sydney Airport.
It will also open four new Adina Apartment Hotels in Germany – in Frankfurt (181 apartments) and Nuremburg (137 apartments) in late 2016 and in Hamburg (202 apartments) and Leipzig (166 apartments) in 2017.
The brand operates 28 hotels already and is managed by Sydney-based TFE Hotels, which formed in 2013 as a partnership between Australia’s Toga Group (1963) and Singapore’s Far East Hospitality Holdings.
TFE Hotels announced in April it will operate a new Adina Apartment Hotel in Western Australia’s trendy tourist capital, Fremantle, as part of a mixed-use commercial, retail and dining precinct, to open July 2018. The 141-apartment hotel will be opposite the city’s cruise ship terminal, with panoramic views to the ocean.
TFE Hotels CEO Rachel Argaman said each new apartment hotel would be positioned in areas of great tourism potential and future growth in Australia – Fremantle, inner city Brisbane and Sydney – and cater to the growing demand from families and business travellers for apartment stays.
“More and more, people are seeking out spaces that have all the services of a hotel but the comforts and amenities of a home, which is what Adina Apartment Hotels are all about,” she said.
“They are designed for the modern explorer to ‘live like a local’ – with fully-equipped kitchens and laundries or kitchenettes in studios, in beautiful contemporary spaces that are a pleasure to spend time in.
“This allows people to explore local shopping areas, try out the local galleries and cafes and then stock up at the markets so they can have a relaxed meal in their apartment at the end of a big day of sightseeing.
“Guests still have all those lovely hotel services that you just can’t do without when you’re travelling – 24-hour reception, room service, conference facilities and a gym and pool.”
The Adina Apartment Hotel Brisbane, George Street (opening in 2017), will transform a grand sandstone-clad heritage-listed building near the popular Queen Street Mall and Queens Wharf into an apartment hotel with 207 rooms. It will form part of the proposed George Street redeveloped entertainment, commercial and residential precinct, which has the backing of Brisbane City Council and the Queensland State Government.
TFE Hotels is also planning a 216 room hotel at Sydney’s George Street, in the heart of the city’s financial district, opposite Wynyard Railway Station and next door to Australia Square, capitalising on the future George Street pedestrian mall and its close proximity to the historic Rocks precinct
Another of Sydney’s iconic hotel creations will be a new Adina Apartment Hotel at New South Wales’ pre-eminent racecourse, Royal Randwick, just a few kilometres from the CBD, in 2018. The 170 apartment hotel will overlook the race track and complement the new racing grand stands and conferencing facilities.
Adina Apartment Hotels look forward to continuing its expansion throughout Australia and in Europe with another successful year of allowing guests to “live like a local” in beautiful hotel apartments.
