Come For The Cocktails And Stay For the View: Flinders Street's Tallest Rooftop Bar Set to Open this April
MELBOURNE: Soaring 68 metres above Melbourne's iconic Flinders Street, the street’s newest and tallest rooftop bar, Fleet, promises sweeping views of the Yarra and beyond when it opens mid-April.
Conceptualized by some of Australia’s leading creative minds including interior architects, Paul Kelly Design (Black Star, Crown Casino), Fleet is a bar for all seasons, deftly balancing modern-day Melbourne with a touch of its nostalgic past.
With one of the city’s most iconic and picturesque views overlooking Flinders Street Sation, Yarra River, Southbank and beyond, the 90-pax venue – atop Vibe Hotel Melbourne – is the place to soak in the scenery or simply enjoy fleeting moments of pleasure.
And to complement the view, international food and beverage consultant, Grant Collins, has curated an expansive drinks menu of timeless classics, signature blends and experimental combinations - all with a distinct Melbourne-style and nautical flavour.
Negronis, spritzes, martinis and fun nostalgic drinks - like the seafarers Hurricane made of gold rum, navy rum, pineapple, orange, lime, and passionfruit 0 dominate the menu. Or for something a little different in the CBD, Fleet’s Barrel-aged Tequilla Manhattan with barrel aged reposado tequila, sweet vermouth, orange bitters, angostura bitters and maraschino, will warm the cockles on a cool Melbourne day.
Fleet’s perfectly balanced cocktails sit alongside a broad selection of local and international spirits, wines, and beers and will go hand in hand with Chef Asish Kumar’s thoughtful bar-snack menu that pays homage to Victoria’s best producers.
Fleet will open to the public in April 2024 from Tuesday to Saturday, 3:00pm until late. Fleet will also open for lunch on Fridays and Saturdays from 12:00pm.
