CANBERRA: Australian Red Cross and Hotel Kurrajong Canberra are inviting future brides, wedding planners and bargain hunters to discover the perfect dress while supporting a worthy cause at the Australian Red Cross Bridal Expo, taking place at Hotel Kurrajong on Saturday 26 September and Sunday 27 September 2026. The two-day event will feature a stunning collection of new high-quality designer wedding dresses and bridal attire valued by to $10,000, offering brides the opportunity to find their dream dress at significantly reduced prices up to 90% discount on certain items while contributing to Australian Red Cross humanitarian programs.

Running from 9am to 6pm on both days, the Bridal Expo reflects growing interest in affordable and sustainable wedding options, giving quality bridal fashion a second life, contributing to the circular economy and keeping valuable textiles out of landfill.
In the last financial year, Australian Red Cross Shops helped prevent approximately 2,353 tonnes of textiles from entering landfill, making more than 5.8 million items of clothing available for reuse through its retail network and merchant suppliers. Every purchase made at the event helps support Australian Red Cross programs assisting vulnerable people in communities across Australia and around the world. Funds raised through Australian Red Cross Retail provide essential untied funding that supports the organisation's humanitarian work, including emergency response, community resilience programs and support services.
Australian Red Cross Head of Retail Richard Wood said “Every time you give to Australian Red Cross, it helps to fund critical projects to improve the lives of people experiencing vulnerability in Australia, and overseas. Together we can make a real difference to help those impacted by hardship, disaster, conflict and other social issues.
Hotel General Manager Diana Quinones-Silva said The Australian Red Cross Bridal Expo reflected the values the hotel shared with the Australian Red Cross and provided a wonderful opportunity to showcase Kurrajong’s commitment to creating memorable wedding experiences.
“We’re delighted to partner with Australian Red Cross to host the 2026 Bridal Expo,” she said. “Weddings are about creating lasting memories, and this event shows how those celebrations can also support charitable fundraising and promote circular fashion. It’s also a meaningful way for us to bring our Global People and Social Conscience ESG values to life.”
In addition to the Red Cross event, Hotel Kurrajong will host a Wedding Showcase Open Day on Sunday 30 August from 12.30pm to 3.30pm. The event will give couples the opportunity to explore a range of wedding settings, from heritage rooms and exclusive venue hire to outdoor ceremonies in the hotel’s stunning courtyard.
