Le Labo Fragrances 

New York-born fragrance company, Le Labo, is one of the more recent additions to James Street. Their first Queensland perfumery stocks candles, hair and body care products, colognes and perfumes with heady fragrances such as lavender, rose, jasmine and orange blossom. Sniff out their City Exclusive range with scents that will whisk you away to New York, Berlin, Seoul and more.  

Fineprintco 

Close to Le Labo is fineprintco, a beautiful gallery selling premium wall art including limited edition prints, striking works by American photographer, Slim Aarons, and original paintings by talented Queensland artist, Remy Taylor.

Aesop 

Aesop’s James Street store is one of the popular skincare company’s largest stores and its design is stunning. The interior is encased in a shell of sweeping, curved fibreglass – the same material used in kayaks and surfboards, a subtle nod to the Queensland outdoor lifestyle. Step into this rose-coloured world and indulge with one of Aesop’s opulent Othertopias fragrances.

Many top fashion labels can be found in James Street and you don’t even need to step outside the door for many of them, with boutiques such as Carla Zampatti, Bec + Bridge, Camilla and Marc, Mister Zimi, Dion Lee, and Sass & Bide located in The Calile Hotel. 

Seek out brilliant local designers such as Gail Sorronda, popular internationally for her monochrome palette and dark romanticism, and luxury jewellery label Natasha Schweitzer, which regularly shows at New York and Paris fashion weeks.
